When parishioners are unable to attend Mass and receive Communion, it is most appropriate that “the Church come to them”. Please contact our Parish Nurse, Beth Budny at 774-277-5191 or the rectory so that we can address this pastoral need.
Parish Nurse
If you are a member of St. Jude’s Parish and you are homebound or have ill health and/or may be struggling spiritually then the Parish Nurse may be able to help.
Spiritual health is central to a person’s well-being and as part of the process of health promotion and disease prevention, the Parish Nurse empowers parishioners to incorporate health and healing practices from our common Catholic faith perspective.
You can make a referral for yourself or a loved one. All services are strictly confidential. Please use the contact info below or call the rectory.
On Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets are assembled and delivered to the residents of Hillcrest Village as well as to the needy in Norfolk and through Catholic Charities. Presently a coordinator for the Thanksgiving food collection is needed. For more information, send an email to info@stjudenorfolk.org or call (508) 528-0170.
Christmas Gift Collection - The Giving Tree
The Giving Tree helps bring Christmas gifts to those less fortunate in the local area. St. Jude works in conjunction with The Santa Foundation who provides the names and wishes of those in need each holiday season. Once the parish has a list of the wishes, we place ornaments on the trees in church during the first few weeks of Advent. Parishioners can take one or more ornaments and purchase the item listed on, wrap the gift and return it to church. The presents are then brought back to the Santa Foundation where they are returned back to the needy families prior to Christmas. Presently a coordinator for the Giving Tree is needed. For more information, send an email to info@stjudenorfolk.org or call (508) 528-0170.
